From Spite to 600: My Journey as an Imperfect Gardener
They say some people are born with a green thumb. I wasn’t one of them. In fact, my journey into the world of plants began with a healthy dose of stubbornness and a bit of spite.
It started when my husband gifted me a beautiful, eight-year-old bonsai. Within two months, I had brought it to its demise. Frustrated, I bought an identical one, read every care manual I could find, and watched in horror as that six-year-old plant followed the first one to the compost bin three months later.
Then, I visited a relative with an extensive succulent collection. A single thought took root: If she can do it, so can I.

The Spark of Growth
I started collecting. I’ll be honest—I lost most of those succulents in the first year. But something shifted when I saw the survivors. When I noticed that first tiny bit of new growth on a plant I hadn't killed, something ignited inside me. That small victory turned a hobby into a passion.
Three years later, I moved into the world of indoor tropicals. My home transformed into a jungle of grow lights, humidifiers, and cedar planks. Today, my collection sits at over 600 plants, and "watering day" is a dedicated two-hour labor of love.

A Sign from the Universe
The idea for this shop didn't come from a business plan; it came from three random strangers.
First, a woman in the pasta aisle of the supermarket stopped her cart to ask if I knew how to care for the plant she was buying. A few days later, while I was hunting for cedar planks at a big-box store, another woman approached me with seed packets, asking for advice. Finally, while sitting in my doctor’s office, I found myself peppering a fellow patient with tips on how to keep her greenery alive.
After three sequential "random" encounters, I realized the universe wasn't just whispering; it was shouting.

Why I Started This Shop
I’m still an accidental and imperfect gardener. But I’ve learned that you don't need to be perfect to grow something beautiful—you just need to be willing to try.
I started this shop to share my love for plants and to help other "imperfectly perfect" gardeners find joy in the dirt. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a serial plant-slayer just starting out, I’m here to help you and your collection grow and thrive.
